The origin of Lilibet's

A princess who was never intended to become queen was born here in Mayfair at No.17 Bruton Street.

You are invited to imagine what might have passed at this address, her earliest home (which is why we’ve affectionately drawn on her childhood nickname), had fate not intervened – and had the place instead been lived in through the ages until now.

What if …?

What if the course of history had been different?

What if she had, instead, been able to embrace all that London society offered with unfettered freedom and unapologetic joie de vivre?

What if …?

What if this Mayfair address had instead been lived at through the years as a home in which to entertain friends, host parties and tell stories of visits to distant places?

Picture the glitz and glamour of the fashionable gatherings, the infectious sense of fun and the laughter-filled rooms with curated treasures and tokens from faraway places.

What if, indeed …?

Lilibet’s, home to an unexpected majesty, is a place of favourites and a favourite place for all who visit.
